Ooray Plum & Vanilla (Previously named Davidson Plum & Vanilla Shrub)
‘Ooray’ is the indigenous name for this beautiful native rainforest fruit, sometimes known as Davidson Plum, but always was and always will be Ooray. There are other Aboriginal words for these beautiful fruits, Ooray comes from north QLD as does the variety of fruit we use.
Ooray are native bush food that look a bit like a plum and grow directly out of the tree trunk! We use only whole organic fruit - no powders or extracts.
Tangy, tart with a punch of bright red colour, we have added soft, sweet vanilla to this seasonal rarity. The resulting flavour is reminiscent of a traditional cream soda but with a native Australian twist.
We make this ooray shrub from the QLD variety of this fruit, Davidsonia pruriens, grown and harvested on Bundjalung Country, Northern NSW.

Add 35ml of shrub to a 200ml of glass of sparkling water and ice for a refreshing bright pink botanical spritzer.
