GABA: Gamma Amino Butyric Acid is 100% pure pharmaceutical grade powder.

GABA is produced in the brain (Amygdala) where it may inhibit excitable neurotransmitters and promote relaxation. Those participating in weight-bearing exercise may find GABA useful for increasing performance and promoting lean muscle mass.

  • 100% pure powder
  • Pharmaceutical grade
  • Packed without fillers or flowing agents
> Specific Amino: Gamma Amino Butyric Acid
> Specific Weight:  GABA = 3000mg
Note:  The above measurements display the amount of milligrams per amino equivalent to a 5ml metric teaspoon. Powders are loosely filled, levelled but not compacted. HealthWise® Amino Powders are pure pharmaceutical grade powders and are packed by weight not volume, without the use of fillers or flowing agents. Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.

Mix 1/4 teaspoon in your favourite juice or coconut water, away from meals. Do not exceed recommended serving without the advice of your health care practitioner.

Always start with a small serving of GABA to assess suitability.

1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon is recommended away from meals with an insulin carrier such as juice. An activated B complex in the morning is recommended.

All sorts of other unexpected things change GABA activity, for example, the chemicals formed by aging whiskey in oak barrels increase GABA’s effect in the brain when the chemicals released from the alcohol as a fragrance and reach the brain via inhalation. The fragrance of Oolong tea has a similar effect, increasing GABA’s action as does, to a lesser extent,  extracts of green and black tea.
